Wedding Wise Wednesday – June 2nd
Posted: June 2, 2010
Every Wednesday, I post the best wedding deals, events and stories in Los Angeles and around the web, and we call it Wedding Wise Wednesday. Welcome!
I love this idea, and I didn’t get the chance to post it last week. Tammy Young – geekybride on twitter and self-proclaimed “professional MacGyver” is getting married in a few weeks, and her guests were having a little trouble finding her wedding website. It was getting lost in search results…so she created an ad in Google adwords for it (the sponsored link on the right of the screen grab above – sadly, because my internet skills are not quite as good as Tammy’s, you’ll have to click on the pic to see the whole thing). Creating a better wedding mousetrap. LOVE it. Read all about it on her blog. I keep saying it – I’m always amazed by what you guys come up with.

The Deals
I’m always on the look-out for affordable wedding venues, and I’m a firm believer in exploring city and state owned properties because they often have the best deals. At First Swoon posted a beautiful wedding at the Los Angeles Arboretum, with pics by photographer Heidi Ryder. For 50 – 100 people, you can get away with a site rental fee of $900. You’re welcome!
Glamour Closet is starting their summer sale tomorrow, June 3rd, which goes until June 19th, Pre-owned couture wedding dresses and never-worn sample dresses on sale for an additional 10-25% off. GO.
The Knotty Bride put together a list of the coolest free wedding DIY downloads on the internet- labels, invites, place cards, wrapping paper, etc. Very thoughtful of her. Enjoy.
See you at the end of the aisle,
