A Soolip Wedding Review

A Personal Note From Liz

April’s booth

On Sunday, I helped my friend, photographer April Rocha, set up and manage her photography booth at A Soolip Wedding. I love that show, everything is gorgeous, it’s at the Bel Air Club which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. There really is nothing like being able to pick out Catalina in the distance to brighten up your day. The weather was perfect, the venue was beautiful, and the food was plentiful. I enjoyed, in a four period:
– Four gigantic chocolate covered strawberries
– Three pieces of cake
-A (strong) mojito in a cute little mason jar, and two glasses of champagne.
– Fried mac and cheese balls
– Assorted chocolates
– 3- 4 trips to the gargantuan table of cheese and crackers in the middle of the show floor
– And for lunch, a sauteed chicken breast and salad.
– And I’m pretty sure there are a couple of bags from the candy buffet table that I don’t want to admit to eating!

Pigged OUT, I tell you! Here’s the rule: If the admission to a show is over $15, don’t bother eating before you show up! Truthfully? I was fine with skipping dinner, too!

It also got me thinking about the article I wrote below. A Soolip Wedding was luxurious, but there were so many things that could be tweaked for lower budgets, too. Jen O’Sullivan was the event’s photographer, go to her facebook page and look at the rest of her pictures. Different colored succulents. The candy buffet. Stuff you can DIY or build less expensively. Shows like this one are really a live inspiration board. I love going to them, because I always find something my couples can use, every time.

So, how’s your wedding going? If you’re starting to feel like you could use some help, or just a little bit of advice, email me back and we’ll schedule your complimentary consultation this week. I’d love to help you in any way you need.

Cheers,

Liz C.
