Wedding Wise Wednesday – Never Hijack Another Girl's Wedding

Every Wednesday, I post the best Wedding Stories, tips, deals and events I find every week, in Los Angeles and around the web. And we call it Wedding Wise Wednesday. Welcome!

Hijacking Other People’s Weddings?

Over at The Articulate Ramblings of the Attorney-at-Mom, Caroline is discussing a bit she heard on KISS-FM. Ryan Seacrest and Company were discussing “hijacked weddings”, where a member of the wedding party or a guest does something to turn the attention totally onto them, and away from the couple getting married. For instance, the bridesmaid that made a toast announcing her own engagment, or the groomsmen who proposed to another bridesmaid during the first dance. Let’s just say that one ended in fireworks, there’s more on the blog. I commented on the post, but basically? If you’re going to pull something like that at someone else’s wedding, WARN THEM. I’m sure the bride and groom would be more than happy to suggest a way to make your happiness less tacky and intrusive. Like, make the announcement themselves, or let you have the mic at some point to propose. Give them a head’s up. Less hard feelings, less objects thrown at your head.

Broke Ass Bride Has Finished Her Site Re-Design!

And it’s Bee-You-Tea-Full! She’s also starting a consultation service, geared towards helping Brides save money on their weddings, and she would know. Check it out.

AND Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine just premiered their first issue, which, in the spirit of being eco-beautiful, is only available online. Take a look at their blog, too, while you’re there.

The Deals:

Wedding Outlet: 12 Days of Christmas
Wedding Outlet has a great sale going on right now. Lots of beautiful wedding stuff for sale, lots of jewelry and other items that would make great gifts, all available with a 12% discount when you use the code “12Days” at checkout. Enjoy!

Tic-Toc Couture Florals has a special offer, too, now until February – 10% off any order, and that includes your wedding bouquet. What I love is that on their website, they also break down their arrangements by price, which is nice. That price also includes “sky is the limit”, which is helpful, you know. Call Eddie Zaratsian at 323. 874.3034, and tell him that you saw it here. See how pretty:

I would not kick that centerpiece out of bed for eating crackers. GO.
